A Creative Journey From Childhood Scribbling to Seamless Digital Experiences

A Creative Journey From Childhood Scribbling to Seamless Digital Experiences

My love for creativity and sketching has been a lifelong passion that began during my childhood. Spending countless hours drawing on the back of school books, desks, and any available surface, I honed my skills and actively participated in and won various sketching and painting competitions at school. Fueled by an inherent curiosity, I pursued Mechanical Engineering to delve into the practical mechanics of things while maintaining my engagement in arts and crafts.

Even as I focused on engineering, my artistic inclination remained strong, earning me recognition in cartooning and painting at regional and state levels, including a notable 2nd place in the GU state-level competition. This passion led me to assume the role of the Head of the creativity department at college, overseeing creative tasks for events and festivals.

During my final year of engineering, my fascination with cars and machine design led me to an internship at Brightech Valves and Controls, providing insights into safety design and overall systems. The National Institute of Design (NID) became a natural choice for its design culture and historical significance. Selected for 'Master in Product Design' and 'Automotive Design,' I chose product design for its expansive scope. My time at NID involved immersive workshops exploring various materials and venturing into diverse design fields like graphic design, interior design, and film design.

A pivotal moment occurred during a module on user interface design, leading me to intern at Edutor Technologies as a UX design intern. This marked my entry into the world of UX design, a field I have been deeply involved in ever since. Before completing my Master's, I started my professional journey as a UX Designer at Echidna, a U.S.-based e-commerce agency and technology company.

Over the past seven years, I have contributed to diverse projects, refining my process through collaboration with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems. My work involves creating innovative solutions driven by data, assisting in informed business decision-making, and delivering impactful design solutions that enhance the digital experience for all users, promoting user satisfaction.

To deepen my understanding of UX design, I temporarily I decided to pursue a Master's in UX design from BTS (Universitat de Barcelona) in Spain, while serving as freelance design consultant to stay connected to the industry. This decision was fueled by the comprehensive course structure and my eagerness to comprehend the entire UX design process. The experience allowed me to apply human-centered design methods and processes to my graduation project, ArtRoom for Porsche.
